The lett front door was used tor the Legion. which was upstarrs. The middle door was the way into the arena and the one on the right brought you to the curling club lounge. FROM THE PAST This week's From the Past is special because the subject is celebrating a birthday. On Monday the Port Elgin Library will turn 102 years old. it is incredible how little has changed to the exterior otthe original portion otthe library. The surrounding area has certainly seen some changes though. The intersection of Goderich and Elgin streets is now of course fully paved and there are certainly more houses along Elgin. Unfortu- nately the trees along the street today will soon be as here as the ones in the photo. . 30 drop by the library Monday to wlsh it a happy birthday (and while you're at it, enioy . tire last of the fall colours).
