MRS. JOSEPH J. THOMAS. The death of a senior resident of Saugâ€" een Township occurred on Thursday, Decemb- er 10, 1959, when Mrs. Joseph J. Thomas passed away in Saugeen Lianorial Hospital, after a week's illness. Death was attrib- uted to a stroke. Deceased was born at Invermay, 83 years ago, the daughter of the late James Haddow and Catherine Thomson Heddow. She was a widow, her husband, to whom she was married in Chesley in 1889, having predeceased her in 1937. She was a member of Queen Hill Presbyterian Church, and of South Saugeen Women's Institute, and was held in high regard by her friends and neighbors on account of her sterling character. Survivors include a son, Robert, residâ€" ent on tne home farm, lst Concession, Sangâ€" een; two daughters, Mrs. Colin Belore, (Grace) of Ingereoll, and Mrs. herald Case- idy (Catherine) of Bruce Townsnip; and two sisters, Mrs. U. F. Shepherd, Seattle, Wash†and Lirs. Catheriro Sim, Chesley. Deceased was laid to rest in Sanctuary Park following services cov ducted on Sat.â€" urday, December 12th, from Lhe Davey Funerâ€" al Home by Rev. l/Eadrice D. licl‘abb. A life long resident of the district passed away at Saugeen Memorial hospital, on Tuesday, l'ovember 20th, 1956, when Mrs. William Forrester succumbed to a heart con- dition. Born in Arran Township, 77 years ago, deceased was the former Margaret Sinclair ksplen. She was married in June, 1901+, to Wm. Forrester, who is her sole survivor, and moved with him to reside on a farm on the townline of Bruce and Saugeen, which was her home for more than 52 years. She attended Queen Hill Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hugh Wilson, from the Davey Funeral Home, on Thursday, Novanber 22nd, with interâ€" ment in Sanctuary Park. Pallbearers were Messrs. Eurrell Esplen, Clarence Upshall, Dan Homing, Robert Scott, Ross Currie and.
