Mrs. James Clazie, a native of Saugeen, and one of the eldest continuous residents of the Town- ship, passed away on Friday, November 4th, at the home of her son, Grant, on the Lth Concession. She was in her $9321 year. Deceased, who was the former Mary Elizabeth Leeder, was born on the 6th Concession of Saugeen, moving to reside on the hth, on her marriage in 1891 to her laLe husband, who predeceased her in 3.933, She was a Camuunicant of Port Elgin United Church, and was for many years closely associated with the church \l‘omen‘s organizations. In her younger days she was also ar active member of the Women's lnstitute. Survivors iLclude four sors, Jack of T-indsor; Edward of Pincher Creek, Alberta, James of Hudson, Quebec, and Grant of Saugeer; ard three daughters, Pearl, Mrs. “else’ Ribey of Saugeen, Martha, Mrs. Dave HacDonald of Agincourt, and Marjorie, R. ., of Beeton. A brother, Robert H. Leeder, residing ir Cuba, and a sister, Hamah, Mrs. John Guyer, of Port Elgin, alsn survive her. The late hrs. Glazie was laiu to rest in Sanctuary Park on Honday, Ilovember 7th, follow- ing the funeral service, conducted by the Rev. W. D. Elmslie. Palloearers were Llessrs. Mrs. William Jeffrey a life long resident of the district, passed a‘.‘ in the Saugeen Idem- orial Hospital on Friday, arch lst, 1957, follow ing an illness of ten day's duration. She has in her 83rd year. Deceased, the former Margaret Mclnris, was born on the 12th Concession of Bruce, residing there until her marriafe in 1899, wten with her husband, she moved to the Ath of Saugecn an: lived there for some LE years, mov‘rr to the 12th of Bruce some ten years ago. She was a Freshyterian, a member of the ladies Aid of that church, Arm of the "omen‘s Institute. Her hus- band predeceased her ir 1928.
