Mr. and Mrs. James Beach. This farm was taken from the Crown at two different dates. Jonn Hewitt, of the Townâ€" ship of Ssugeen, in the Cotmty of Bruce, yeo- man, paid One Hundred Dollars to the Crown, for the east half of Lot number 20, in the first concession of Saugeen Township, on the twenty second day of August, Eighteen Hundred and Seventy. John Hewitt, of the town of Orangeville, in the County of Dufferin, formerly of Saugeen Township, Bruce County, yeoman, paid One Hundred Dollars to the Crown for the west half of Lot number 20, Concession 1, Saugeen Township, Bruce County, on the second of December, Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Four. On the fourteenth day of July, Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Five, John Hewitt, and his wife, Ann Jane l-Ieuitt, solo to John licLaren, farmer, and his wife, Sarah Jane licLaren, Lot number 20, Saugeen, for the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars.
