Mr. and Mrs. Alex. MacDougaLL'L GRASS FARM ,2- /o Saugeen Twp. Lot. 16, Con. l. (Hielan' Farms ) . The earliest informbion on this farm, comprising 100 acres, was on December 26th 1873, when Robert Smith solo it to Mr. Archie Wilkie. Sevan years later, Colin Menrthuz' and his wife, Susannah LicArthur bought it. In 1891 at. the death of Colin McArthur, the farm went to his wife, Susan McDonald and their two children, John Edward McArthur and Gertrude McArthur. In l90h, Susan Mc. Donald, wife of Hell McDonald, and widow of the Late Colin Mukrthur and her daughâ€" ter Gertrude, sold the farm to her son, John Edward aficArthur. He was married to Mary McLeod. In 1920, George M. Jamieson bought it. In 1941. he willed this farm to John Idillan Jamieson, his son. In 1955, it was sold to Alex. Moc- Dougall, who is the present owner of it. There are no buildings. The house was moved across the road and is the present dwelling of Mr. and Mrs. dey Brown. The barn was purchased by Mr. Bert Schell of North Bruce, and was move: by him to the farm presently occupied by his son Woodrow, to replace their barn, which had been de- troyed by fire, a short. time previously.
