This farm ccmprisim of 100 acres, was purchased from the Crown by John Cameron, for «200.00 cm Tiny 10th, 1269. :«t fir. Cameron‘s death in 1876, the Executors of the estate sold it to Z‘JiLLiam Smith. His wife was urmie Brooks. This union was blessed by four children, namely, Lfaude (firs. Hampshire, aeceased), Ethel, Lirs. George Gilchrist), Essie (hrs. George, deceased), amt Bert, who lives in Alberta. Mr. Smith erected the present buildings. In 1903, Lr. Smith sold the farm to {Lobert Brown, and his wife has Suser. Leask. The;r had no heirs. LLr. Brown sold the farm in 191.8 to Mr. Alex. J. Lamont. He was married to Kather- ine McDonald. They had one son, Alastair. On March 6th, 1935, Alex. MacDougal]. of Bruce Township bought this farm, and is the present owner of it. He was married to Ella Kaake, (daughter of Mr. and Hrs. Charlie Kaake, of Bruce Township), in July 1938. They have one daughter, Jane, at present on the teaching staff in the City of Brantford. in 1.939 hydro was installed in the house, and in l9h5, in the barn. A press- ure system was adued in the year 1950. (firs. tacDougall is a former member of the teaching profession).
