THE CRISPIN BRIDGE The First Bridge to cross the Saugeen River in this immediate area was a wooden structure built in 1862. This bridge was washed out in 1870 and a wooden bridge was once again constructed. Another bridge was built in 1635 and in 1901 a steel structure was built. This bridge served until earlier this year. The new concrete structure had construction commenced in 1987 and is now being Otficially Opened.
