I -14_ HISTORY OF URBSHOTT FARE: This land was taken up and cleared by Frederick Urbshott who came from Normanby township in Grey County, and to which he brought his bride Minnie Bittorf around the 1550's. The Bittorf farm to the north was added later. Arthur Urbshott, second eldest son of a family of thirteen took over the farm from his father when he married. He later moved south of Wiarton and his oldest brother, Vosty. took it ovor along with his own. He is the present owner. In October lgpj. Mr. & Mrs. Vesta Urbshott retired to their home in uiurton â€" his youngest son James and bride hargaret TBJlQr taking over the farm. Minnie, wife of Frederick Urbshott passed away at her home in Wiarton in March 1953. Her son Clayton, died in nuy or the same year â€" the result of a car accident. Lro. hottlo Urbshott moved to town and in l954 sold her farm to her son Jack who later sold it to Jack Cameron of Hope Bay in April 1353.
