Dr. Barry Gordon Carleton, B. A. 316 Margaret Avenue, coroner of Peterborcugh County, died suddenly this morning at his :ummer residence, Ulster Lodge, River Road North, opposite the city's filtration plant. His age was 58. Dr. Carleton was born at Moneymore, near Roslin, in Hastings County, son of John Water- house Boslin and Isabel Ellen Defoe. He was a graduate of Belleville Collegiate Institute and Peterborough Teachers' College, taught school a few years, was a student at Sheen's University, and graduated in medicine in 1927. From 1927 until 1943 Dr. Carleton practised his profession at Norwood, and entered actively into the affairs of that community. Coming to Peterborough in 1943, he continued his interest in civic affairs, and was a member of the Bcard of Education four years, 191,6 -â€" 1.9 He was a member of Carleton Lodge No. 838 of the Loyal Orange Order, which was instituted at Moneymore in 1857 by his grandfather. He was also a member of the Royal Black Knights of Ireland. His mother's family were United anire Loyalists. A Past Master of Norwood Lodge, No. 223 AF and AM, Dr. Carleton was also affiliated with Corinthian Lodge No. 101, of Peterboruugh. ~ He leaves his widow, the former Nara Isobel Crozier; a daughter, Mrs. C. R. Moult (Eleanor) of Scarboro; sons, Edmund W. of Winnipeg and William Harry Carleton, Toronto; sisters, Mrs. Florence Jones of Tweed and Mrs. Annie Bates of Rnslin; and brothers: Dr. Edmund Carleton, Stirling, and John of Detroit. Another brother, Robert Clarence Carleton, died two years ago. Dr. Carleton's first wife was the late Edith M. Walker who died in 1952. Dr. Carleton was a family physician in the practice he established both in Norwood and Peterborough. He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church. The late Dr. Carleton was laid to rest in the Roslin Anglican Cemetery, after a service at All Saints Church, Peter-borough conducted by the Rev. M. P. Poole, assisted by the Rev. F. C.
