GARFIELD OSTRANDER A highly esteemed resident in the person of Mary Luelln Reid, wife of Garfield Ostrander, .pass- ed away at her home at Pictnn on Thursday, October 29m. 1953. She had been ill for some tirnE. having undergone an operation in Kingston Hospital in January- and had spent nine weeks in. Prince Edward County Hospital' before being removed to her, hnme a few weeks ’before her' passmg. Born at Milford, September 6, 1889, she was the daughter 01" Hugh Reid and his wife, Elzina (Walker) Reid. Two years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. 05‘ trander moved to Lucknow where they resided until five years ago when they returned to Pirtun af- ter the sudden death of their son, Rexiord, in February 1948. A member (if the United church Mrs, Ostrander, when health per- mitted. was active in church work, the Red Cross and in the' Women's Institute while in Luckâ€"j now.
