KINLOSS KAIRSHEA MEETINGS Township councillor speaks to Kinloss Kairshea Institute By Allene Bradley On May 20 the Kinloss Kairshea Institute met at the home of Gladys Johnston lot the Community. Institute Rally on Oct. 5 The September meeting of the Kinloss Kairshea WI was held at the home of Irene Haldenby With 14 members and three visi- tors present. President June Gilchrist welcomed everyone and opened the meeting with the Ode. followed by The Mary Stewart Collect and a story of a student going to college. The Scripture was read by Irene Haldcnby. Minutes of the June meeting were pre- sented by secretary Alice Ritchie with business folA lowing. The treasurer's report was read by Marion McKinnon. The Bruce County Institute Rally is to be held in the Underwood Community Centre on Oct 5. The Grey Bruce Area Convention is to be held in Wiarton on Oct. 12. On Sept. 28 an officers training workshop for the Rose Fragrant will be held in Elmira. Thch were 10 District cookbooks availe able at the meeting, all of which sold. Two tickets were drawn for The Agricultural Society breakfast. the winners were Marion McKinnon and Margaret Mowbray. The education cnnvener. Irene Haldenby. led the program. Rollcall was "your mother‘s favourite saying" and "a favourite children's game". The Tweedsmuir Hismry books were passed out and each member read a high- light from the book given them. Junc thanked the hostess and the lunch committee for a delicious lunch. The singing of the Institute Grace and O Canada brought an inter esting meeting to a close.
