Erom I957 and for ten years following Kairehea W.I- gave a’$56.00 scholarship to the girl who was highest in the Home Economics class in the Lucknow & District High School. When the high school was moved to Winghsm, and the W.I- was involved in a very tight money policy, it was decided to discontinue the scholarship.
