June "III, I947 T IS a great pleasure to me to send greet- jings and congratulations to the Members of the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario on the occasian of their Fittieth Anniversary celebration, with all my good Wishes [or a happy and useful future. The opening of Stoney Creek Women's Institute in 1897 is a landmark in the history at rural life, and I am glad to send this message of goodwill because I know of the lhankiulness of my fellow Members {or their Institutes. Besides those in Great Britain, I have lately seen Members in South Africa and Rhodesia, enjoying and valuing the opportunities for service, mutual help, educar lion and tun which Membership brings and which we owe to the Stoney Creek woman, 50 years ego. My thoughts are with you on this great day, and I Wish each one of you happiness and prosperity,
