At the Thomas Clarke home, Thomas is still a weaver, the yolnger Thomas is no longer there, and 11â€"year old Joseph Wait is living with the-old couple. At the McConeghy home all, except Mary, are still present. Time has added two moare childred, Samuel (7) and Jane (5). Mrs. Catherine O'Neil is still living at the hotel, but the operation is now taken over by a young couple, John Warnock, 24, and his wife Mary Ann, 22, both born in Upper Canadam Church of Rome. They had a baby daughter, Mary. A young Scotsman, Hugh Gordon is shown as working there, as were 2-yearlomd B. Connelly, 12- year old Ann Wait, and 30-year old Ann McManus from 2 Ireland. Of the Peter O’Neill, merchant, who operated in 1851 no mention appears. Duncan Ferguson and has wife are next, in their stone house, and other residents describer as R. Ferguson, age 25 and J. Ferguson, 20. At Bonnechere Point the report lists Lewis Laventure, born Upper Canada, Church of Scotland, age 25, operating a "public house." Finally to bring this report on Castleford residents to an end, is the name of the blacksmith; John Wilson, born Ireland, Church of Rome, aged 66, his wife Eliza- beth aged 55, their children James 14, John 12, Catherine 8, Michael 6, Jane 5 and Edward 5.
