Mrs. Stewart took for her subject "Practical education begins at home,” and gave an excellent reading along that line. Another thoughtâ€"provoking paper, on the subject â€" ‘Character education,” was contributed by Mrs. R. Barr, assistant convener, who was able to be present, the pa- per being read by Mrs. W. FAMILY NIGHT The annual ‘Family Night" of Glasgow Station Women‘s Institute, to which were invited the families and friends of the members, proved as usual a very enjoyable change from the regular type of meetings. Held in the community hall, with Mrs. J. Scobie as host- ess, the holiday season getâ€"together was well attended and the evening‘s program much enjoyed. A highlight of the program was an interesting report of the recent area convention held in Ottawa, given by Mrs. A Carswell, president of the Glasgow W.I. Mrs. Carswell also delighted the audience with one of her humorous monologues. 7of105
