Mrs. James Coyne entertained us with an illustrated talk on Manitoba. Her first home. soon after she came to Canada in 1946. was in Fort Churchill. where her husband was the Commanding Officer. The family return in Manitoba elicit summer where they have a cottage at The Pas. The Col- pny’a Bay Women's institute. the New Horizons Group and the Tennis Club have cooperated to produce the remaining iunds to make this project possible. John Hackolt of shallow Luke, Perry Selgrlst nl Alicnlord and Tim Pascal ol Berlord Lake. They will be working under the guidance ul Mr. Fred Daykin. Mr. Sidney Richardson and Mr. Hon Gills. Mrs. Sydney Dunn will be our voting delegate to the con- vsntlnn being held at the Southampton Coliseum. The Rally takes place on Oclobar Win at the Saubie Beach Community Centre. Mr. Larry Marshall will he the speaker. Mrs. Victor McElrea. who was presiding, advised the members the next meeting would be September 6th one to the Area Convention being held Septem- ber 11th and 12th In Suulhampâ€" ton. The delegates to the Convention will be Mrs. Mo- Eirea and Mrs. Sidney Dunn. A Crall and Bake Sale will be held on the 215i DI July, commencing at 2 pm. In the Community Hall. A recommendation was made by the Board oi Management that a Fund be established to commemorate the dedication and work oi Mrs. Stella Whicher Gatls tor the Women's institute In both the Branch and District and as a Provincial Board Director. This recommendation was accepted and a decision made to erect new entrance doors with this Fund. Donations to this Fund may be sent to Mrsl Sidney Dunn. H.R. 5. Wlarion. Mrs. T. Donaldson provided us with a contest on soap: and detergents and the members then eninyed a pot luck supper.
