BURNSTOWN WOMEN’S INSTITUTE By Eunice Richardson Many different crafts were shown to the eleven members at the March meeting of the Burmtown W.l. as the roll call was answered by displaying a craft each had made. Members brought quilting, needlepoint, knitting, sewing, match stick trait, wreaths, home made corsages and more. The Literary Contest was a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Bumstown Women’s Institute and to promote a further understanding of agriculture as well as to motivate the students writing skills. The committee was well pleased with the response.
