Dear Mrs Scott: I have your letter of April 16th and while I have not too much information I will give you what I can gather from the records. The name of the Club is Tamarack Island Fishing & Shooting Club and the Club was incorporated under Letters Patent dated June 12th 1915. I am unable to find an original list of membership but the following list of names shows the men who were instrumental in forming the Club. Charles Henry Witthun Lumberman, Hanover, Ont. Herman Gruetzner Electrician,Hanovar, Ont. Ross Ely Young Merchant, Hanover, Ont. John Stockford Traveller. Elora, Ont. George Schneider Schwindt Manufacturer,Walkerton,0nt. The George Kirks' were the first stewards and were with the Club until 1927 when the Allen McLays‘ took over. Mrs McLay passed away about 1955 and Allan McLay and his daughters have been carrying on since that time. I do not know of any pictures but would suggest that you contact Dr. W. R. Milner, a dentist in Detroit, whose office is at 8871 Grand River Ave.,an6 Dr. Milner is very interested in the Club. He has been a member for many years as was his father. He,no doubt, will have some pictures. Trusting the above information may be of some use, I remain, Secyâ€"Treas. TAMARACK ISLAND FISHING & SHOOTING CLUB.
