Dr. Wigle put sev eral sticthes in the wound. ***** Dealers are paying 18¢ a lb for butter & 17¢ a dozen for eggs. **** John Ashcroft had mill at Howdenvale. ***** W. Moore, who has lived on the Peninsula since he was two years old, has set out with his family for Wascada, Sask. ***** Jan: W. J. Simpson has been appointed clerk of St. Edmund's Twp. at a salary of 42 dollars per year. Councillors will get 2 dollars per meeting. ***** The electric lights installed by Charles Williams of Lion's Head, are giving excellent satisfaction. The Trader's Bank there is lighted by the same dynamo. ******* A very successful box social was held Friday evening at Stokes Bay. Among those on the program were Misses Pearl Cameron, Margaret McLennan, Ola McDonald, John Roderick McLannan, Meryl McKinney, Charlie Rumph, Ruth Smith, T. Y.
