l _, Sherri Derretl Ken Edwards Local bowlers win Mixed Couples Tournament On January 6. 1980. the Zone Rd. of the Mixed Couples Tournament was held. For the second consecutive year Bel-Mar bowlers have done us proud. Belmont Women‘s Institute held a surprise Christmas dinner for members over 70 on Dec. 6th. 1979 at their lnstitut room in Belmont Township Hall. There were eight senior members present. Hazel Hat-tin. Jennie Harris. Pearl Elmhurst. Lila Ellis. Kay Brooks. Edna Hoard. Alice Brunton. and Violet Scotti Members absent on account of illness were Mrs. Grace Wrightly and Lyall Hoard, Each of the senior members were completely surprised and each received a gift from the president Mrs, Leoma Pollock. There were five guests present. Mr. and Mrs Ellwood Hamilton. Mrs. Merle Martin. Mrs. Diane Hill and Mr. Herb Hoard. Mrs. Vivian Nicholas and Mrs Yulnfay Burleigh assisted the junior W.l. members in the kitchen and waiting on tables.
