The log and brick home oi Mr and Mrs N E Lindsay was surveyed in November of 197E by Marjorie Lindsay under auspicies of Heritage Renfrew, It was photographed by George Johnston and developed by Dave Lorente Jr. The building is located at 321 Albert St and was constructed in 18110. This is an estimated date by Renfrew County Assessment Otlice, Pembroke. The log is on part at the house lacing Elgin Ave. Additions including veranda lacing onto Albert Street are estimated to have been added on between 1910 and 1920 and the whole house covered with brick. Mr George Wand McDonald bought lots 10. ll. 12 facing onto Albert Si from Elgin to Hinds Streets in 1876 and 1019 t Hincks St) in ltlflt from Sir Frances Him-ks. In 1880 he built a log house on lot iztacing Elgin Ave. Mr McDonald, accountant, insurance agent, magistrate, was a high school or public school trustee for much of the period 1870â€"1900.
