Mrs. Robt. Mc Ewen of Renfrew, Box 391. Very emphathically explained the Aims and Objects of an Institute. Twelve ladies then enrolled for membership paying 25¢ fee which amounted to $3.00. It was then moved by Mrs. Archie Close and 2nd by Mrs. Harold Cunningham that an Institute be organized, known as "The Amprior Women's Institute". This motion was carried then declared by Mrs. McEwen. The nomination of officers then took place Mrs. John A. Gillespie and Mrs. Harold W. Cunningham both being nominated for President. A vote was taken which resulted in a tie, with Mrs. Gillespie declining in Mrs. Cunningham's favor, who was then de lared elected President. Moved h Mrs.H.W.Cunningham, 2nd by Mrs. James S.
