Lindsay expressed the appreciation of those present to Her Excellency in the following: “I have the privilege of voicing the appreciation of the members of Arnprior Branch of the Women's Institute for your presence. We all realize fully that your duties are very many and very varied, and they take you hither and yon through the country. It was most gracious of Your Excellency to arrange to visit us, the youngest Branch of the Women's Institute in this district. "In 1919 we had an official visit from our Governor-General the Duke of Devonshire. In 1922 we had an official visit from lord and Lady Byng. This is the first time we have ever had the First Lady of our Land address a meeting in our Town. "Your talk this afternoon has been most impressive-- we will not forget it. We will not forget you. It is our sincere wish Your Excellency, that the remaining time you are in Canada will be filled with happiness, and after your return home to England, you will look back with pleasure to the time you spent in Canada. We thank you.“ Mrs. Grace Glenn then expressed a vote of thanks to Mrs. Gemmel in the following words: "I would like to express our appreciation and grateful thanks to Mrs. Gemmel for her kindness in giving her home toâ€"day to entertain Her Excellency. It is my pleasure to move a hearty vote of thanks to Mrs. Gemmel." The President then informed the meeting that the next meeting would be held at the home of Mrs. Murphy on December 13th. The roll call to be answered by something for the Christmas Cheer boxes. The meeting closed with singing the National Anthem. Tea was then served and a social hour enjoyed by all present. Mrs. M. Dorion, Mrs. T.
