An Eastern Area [99% Storm Disaster Tweedsmuir History Competition has been initiated. There are three classes of “My 1998 Storm Disaster Experience": Class 1 - 4 coloured photographs with up to 25 word description for each; Class 2 - 2 coloured photographs with up to 250 word descrip- tion for each; and, Class 3 v 400 to 600 word story. 14 Home 8. The town was moved during the building of the St. Lawrence Seaway, Willi the exception of five houses. The Tweedsmuir History Books of the area were on display throughout I997 in the town's museum. Nearly 1000 people relived the past as they skimmed the TweedsmuirBooks and viewed the mementoes. Durham East District Women ‘5 Institute members took part in a fashion show.
