This letter initiated a response. Local ofï¬cials agreed to meet with not only the Arman Wl, but also with the Bothwell Corner WI and the Sydenham and St. Vincent Farmers Club. Together the groups planned strategies to raise funds for the light. On Labour Day weekend in 1996 these groups along with local resi< dents held a toll booth, stopping trafï¬c for donations. The plan was to hold the toll again. if more funds were needed. But this was not neces- sary. Local donations exceeded all expectations. Thank you Sydenhmn Township residents.
