The cheque was pre- sented at the Provincial Ofï¬ce at the official launch of a province-wide health initiative. FWlO has joined forces with a variety of health and social service organizations to pro- vide health education to the families of rural Ontario. This program signifies the rela- tionship between the provincial gov ernment and FWIO. in which the government recognizes the essential services this organization is able to provide with over 100 years of history. Witmer remarked that it was a tremendous privilege and pleasure to be able to assist the WI in disseminating information over the next two years. FWIO President Arthena Hecker responded that “taking control of our health is of vital importance and the WI has the direct means to bring this mes- sage to rural Ontario." Hecker said that the current program will be expanded and new partnerships will be established.
