Cooper Remington WI Hold Quill Draw Last year, when the Cooper Remington Women '5 Institute learned that the Madoc Township Fire Department was in need of a defibrillator, they set to work. Members decided to hold a quilt draw. The women involved spent 286 hours making this Bear’s Paw Quilt. Member Ruth Holmes presented the $1500 in proceeds to Fire Chief Darren Morrison. The winner of the beautiful quilt was Verna Thompson of Stirling.
