Gwen Doyle (in photo at right), Waters WI PRO, presented a Friend of WI Certificate to Jean Bruser (left). Editor/owner of The Walden Observer, Doyle explained that “one of the most important aspects of any volunteer organization is getting its message out to members and the public: Who are we? What are our goals and objectives? How have we helped the community in the past? What proâ€" grams and activities do we offer? What community projects do we support? How can the public help us? The wallhanging is permanently displayed in thc Walden Community Library and Senior Citizens Centre.
