Introducing FWlO’s President~Elect â€" Rosemary Moran was born and raised on a dairy farm in 'he rural community of Glen Miller in Hastings County After graduating from Trenton High School, I worked m a bank as a teller before marrying I spent most of my life as a partner on a dairy farm Now, i work with seniors as a Dietary Aide in a retirement home My family » two daughters and one son and eight grandsons, with another grandchild on the way â€" is an important part of my life For years I taught sewing classes and did sewing for other people I like to encourage people to sew and be creative, especially when they say they can't do it I was a leader for many years with the 4â€"H Program and sat on the Ontario 4-H Council in its initial years My Women's Institute involvement began in 197] when l ioined the newly formed Mapleview Branch I have been involved at all levels of the organization, including holding all ofï¬ces at the Branch level, completing terms as President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Northumberland District, Sitting as PreSIdent and on various committees at the Area level and participating as a Provincial Board Director during the time when the Board was in its transition phase from a large to a smaller body in addition. 1 have sat on the FWIO Conference ‘98 Committee, and am currently a member of the FWIO Ourlt Show Committee The provincial level positions were particularly challenging Although many challenges remain and await everyone, I feel the organization has made great strides in rejuvenating itself I am looking forward to my future work at the provrncial level of the Women‘s Institute and am confident that I can meet the many challenges that await me lam a member of the local quilt gUild and enioy the outdoors and gardening My goal each day is to experience something new, whether I learn a new skill. read something new from a newspaper or meet a new friend I truly look forward to meeting many of you in the near future, Rosemary Moran is the FWIO President- Elect She can be reached at l |00 County Road 41 RR 7 Brighton ON KOK 1H0 Phone (31347543212 Email ordlmoranta-kos net SW"!!!
