C WIF proposes changes for W] The following is a summary of the recommendations contained in the final report of the Committee on Women 's Institutes of the Future. 1. That the objectives of all levels of Ontario Women's Institutes be: I) to assist and encourage women to become knowledgeable and responsible citizens 2) to promote and develop good family life skills 3) to help discover, stimulate and develop leadership 4) to help identify and resolve needs in the community. That the organization be known as “an educational organization for personal growth and comâ€" munity actionâ€. That the slogan for the organizaâ€" tion be: Women’s Institute â€" Women Involved and that this slogan be used on all promoâ€" tional material. . That the Women’s Institute pro- mote a more professional image of the organization and that a definite budget be established and allocated to public relations. . That the Federated Women’s Inâ€" stitutes of Ontario (FWIO) hire an Executive Director. . That the addition of a President- Elect be made to the Provincial Board of the FWIO. . That the position of Federation Representative be eliminated and further that the method of electâ€" ing Board Directors be changed. . That a Program Co-ordinator be elected at each level of the orâ€" ganization to replace the four standing committee conveners (Agriculture & Canadian Indus- tries; Citizenship & World Afâ€" fairs. That a provincial convention be held in 1987 in conjunction with a celebration in observance of the 90th year of the founding of the Women’s Institute organization.
