Network Quilt Competition The Ontario Agricultural Museum at Milton is sponsoring a bicentennial quilt competition and the winning quilt will be presented to Queen Elizabeth II. Called the Ontario Bicentennial Quilt Contest, the competition is open to novice and artisan alike. Inâ€" dividuals or groups may enter to compete for the prizes of $500 for first. $400 for second and $300 for third place. The province has invited the Queen to attend the celebration of Ontario’s 200th birthday and if she is able to come, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food will present Her Majesty with the first place quilt and in» troduce the talented winner(s). All quilts must be received by the museum no later than May 1, 1984 and all interested participants should register by Dec. 31, 1983. Although the winners of the competition will be announced in early June, 1984, the quilts will be on display at the museum until the end of August.
