Pursue resolutions more actively, Canadian WI president urges Resolutions are a vehicle through which the Women’s Institute can urge change and make improve- ments, FWlC President Bernice Noblitt told the 500 WI members attending Officers' Conference in early May. “We must work together if we are to accomplish our objectives,†said Mrs. Noblitt, and explained the many different functions a resolution can perform. For instance, outlining a course of action, making a policy statement on behalf of the national organization or initiating a project for the Women's Institute. “We tend to shrink away from resolutions because we feel we don't know how to use them, but when we look back, we can see resolutions have done a lot for this country through the years,†Mrs. Noblitt explained. Now we must persue our objectives more enthu- siastically, actively and persistently," Mrs. Noblitt added.
