Some added features discussed were books with large print. talk- ing books. film collections. programs for pre-schoolers. outreach programs and after-school activities. Mrs. Jim Ebert. Education and Cultural Activities Convener was in charge. HANOVER WI members in GREY SOUTH DISTRICT included a great variety of subjects at their monthly meetings, Each month, a particular Province in Canada was featured when items of interest were on display. Also. meetings included nutrition and education. local speakers and slides on a members travels throughout the world. Support for Participation Lodge. when quilts were sold at the Flesherton Split Rail Festival, found interest and support not only for Hanover but from among the branches in the Area. Mrs. Arnetta Shellington spoke about rehabilitation after a mastectomy and showed a ï¬lm “lts Your Decision". dwelling at length on breast self-examination. Eighteen kits were made and presented to the Cancer Society. A letter was read from their link Institute in Tralee. South Australia telling about the work of the WI in that country. Hanover WI remains active and has gained two new members during the past year.
