Participants follow up the training they re- ceive by arranging courses in Needlework in the” own ince Women‘s Agricultural Association (CPWAA. my own Society). She is instrumental in getting other CPWAA members on the panel to assist in this project which will be spread over many months. THE SOUTH AFRICAN UNION OF HOMEMAKERS CLUBS (SAUHC) The South African Union ofHomemakers Clubs is a Society for Coloured women which aims at inspiring and helping its members toward higher standards of home life by providing programmes in home econom- ics, nutrition, health, planned parenthood. home inâ€" dustries. hobbies, floral art, horticulture and agricul~ ‘ ture, etc. The organization was started on 4th February, 1961 and in that year only four Clubs in the Cape Town area were started. At present there are Clubs in all the provinces of South Africa and South West Af- rica. Clubs now number 87. ACWW and in 1974 at the Perth Triennial Conference was granted full Constituent Membership. The Society has its own badge. designed by one of its members. The badge is in the form ofa book. which has on it a heart shape.
