Unfortunately two became possesston of curators who moved from the community and took the History with them. and still another was gutted by fire. These'instances should make curators aware of the value of these histories and protect them carefully. Also it shows the necessitv of a committee working closely with each curator â€"' and curator working with her committee. Curators at each level should work closely with their counterparts. Have an annual get-together to stimulate interest. clarify difficulties. and to know what is acttially being accomplished throughout your level. Many old biographies and diaries are coming to the fore where active curators and committees are working. Pictures are also becoming more available for use in the book. lfyour people know and can see they are being given credit for all donations to the his- tory. they'are much more liable to co-operate fully. House Logs are slow in being started. Some comâ€" munities make mention of them. while others still haven't made much progress. These small “registers” are kept and left in the home as families take over, In them are recorded information about the house and the people therein through the eras.
