The feature of the Wednesday evening pro- gram was a symposium on “Careers” with Miss Rosemary Clark, Regional Supervisor of Junior Extension with the Home Economies Branch as Moderator. Mrs. Margaret Woof, presided for the pro- gram which commenced with a musical ses- sion. Miss Clark introduced the members of the panel, Miss Ruth MacIntosh of the Home Economics Branch, Miss Holly Middleton, De partment of Landscape Architecture Universiâ€" ty of Guelph and Miss Denise Rondeau, M.S.W. Family Service Agency, Hamilton. The specialists presented interesting infor~ ‘ mation concerning their own careers and the girls were given some details concerning caâ€" . reers that are somewhat different from the usual. Miss McIntosh who has served with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the . United Nations in India and Ceylon presented .some interesting details of her work with F.A.0. and answered questions concerning qualifications necessary and procedure for applying for overseas service. Miss Middleton. an artist. explained in part ' the openings and opportunities for a girl choosing a career as an artist and answered questions. Miss Rondeau told of her duties as a Social Worker dealing especially with family coun- selling. In answer to the girls' questions she exâ€" plained some of the qualifications necessary to ; enter a career of social work. The evening closed with a Fashion Show in _which the newly appointed County Home ,Economists modelled attractive dresses and other outfits made from paper.
