Special Programs and Projects A note to P.R.0.'s: The purpose of this secâ€" tion it to carry special reports or news stories that may offer suggestions or inspiration from one institute to another. So if your Institute has had some special program or has carried out some special project that meant a great deal either to the members or to the com- munity. (to write and tell us about it. And please note these points: To reproduce a photograph we require a glossy prim, not a negative. We cannot make a cut from a coloured picture or from a slide. We cannot give space to reports of anniver- sary celebrations or other local meetings; but the title for a particularly good topic, roll call, “ttmtto”, debate or panel would be welcome her-(ruse it might be taken up by other branches. A Senior Citizens’ Club By Mrs. Wm. Fritz UR Women‘s Institute is just starting its fifth year. We were the former Wales, Aultsville and Farran‘s Point branches, but due to the St. Lawrence Seaway we were lorced to disband and form a new branch in the village of lnglesidc, taking lngleside as our lnstitutc‘s name. Many of our elderly folk found it very lonesome when this great change was made in their lives: and they missed their old friends who lived too far away for them to visit. 30 the Women‘s Institute formed a Senior (‘itizcns' Club. Our members provide trans- portation to and from the club meetings as wc|[ us refreshments. The meetings are held alternately in one of the four churches in our village. Our older peOplc think this is a grand idea and are much happier now. for each month they meet their old friends as well as some new ones they have made since the club was formed. To our Institute members. organizing and sponsoring the club has been a most grati- fying project. 32 Making Friends in the District Hon]e By Mrs. D. W. Reeves HEN planning for a celebration.
