Sixty-fifth Anniversary Plans for the sixtyvfifth anniversary celebra- tion were outlined by Mrs. Lymburner. So many women over the Province Wished to attend the luncheon to be held on February 19 that it was difficult to find sufficient accomâ€" modation. At a meeting of the committee im- mediately after the Board Meeting, plans were made to hold the luncheon in the Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition Park, Toronto, A letter regarding these new arrangements has been sent to all branches. Mrs. Haven Smith, of Nebraska. International Vice-President of A.C.W.W. will be guest speaker. Invitations to attend the birthday celebration will be ex tended to past provincial presidents and to officials of the Department of Agriculture, whose contribution to the Women’s Institute since its inception has been of such tremendous value. A feature of the program will be a pageant showing the growth of the Women’s Institute in Canada since 1897. Mrs. Hagget‘ty will portray Mrs, Hoodless. and looal members depicting the provinces will be dressed in cos- tumes of the period. Reservations will be ac- cepted as they are received at the F.W.I.O. office. 20 Spadina Road, Toronto 4. Members are urged to arrive well ahead of the time of the luncheon. so that they may have an op- portunity to meet the guests. Miss McKercher announced that the Department of Agriculture is happy to assist by providing the large birth- day cake and also assuming Mrs, Haven Smith’s expenses. It is expected that there will be radio and television coverage of this special celebration. A.C.W.W. Conference Mrs. Lymburner, Provincial President, was appointed F.W.I.O. delegate and Mrs. Elton Armstrong. alternate delegate to the A.C.W.W. Conference to be held in Australia in October 1962.
