Miss Eadie’s final word was: "H..L. high hopes and aspirations and be Willing in work.†Institutes’ Farm Forum Night r I W HIS YEAR National Farm Radio Forum is putting on a number of programs in coâ€"operation with farm organizationsâ€" the Federation of Agriculture, Marketing Groups. Cooperatives, 4-H Clubs and Wom- en‘s Institutes. Representatives of each organ» ization will have a part in the planning of its own programâ€" Mrs. Lymburner, F.W.I.O. President has already spoken for the Ontario Women‘s Institute at a committee meeting held in Banff in June. Each organization will have its own special night with its own special broadcast; and the local groups will sponsor and attend their own special meeting. They will send the findings from their discussions to the Farm Radio Forum Secretary for their province and from these findings or views and convictions and recommendations, the Secretary will compile a report for her broadcast on the fourth Farm Radio Forum night of the month. The date of the Women’s Institutes’ Farm Forum night will be February 5th. 1962; the topic “Technical and Vocational Training (Are we falling far short of training farm people to make a living â€" tomorrow?)†Surely this offers a field for liVely discussion and an opportunity for rural people H not only women but men and young people, too â€" to make known their views on technical education for rural youth. Institutes participating in this national project will arrange for a local meeting place. It could be in a home, but in view of the interest al- ready evident, it would seem that in most places a home would not be large enough to accommodate the attendance. It has been sug- gested that it might well be a family affair with fathers, mothers and children of high school age on hand to hear the broadcast and to exâ€" press their opinions in the discussion. Someone has remarked, too, that the organization in charge should be reminded to be sure to have a radio in good working order at the meeting, 18 Mrs. Lymhurner will be speaking on the \\‘ ., project at the fall conventions.
