When the Goshen Institute‘s women's orchestra visited chfrew county's Bonnechere Manor to help with an afternoon's entertainment, Mrs. John E, Miller. of the Goshen musicians. assisted Mrs. Dagenais, a resident of the Manor. in a lap dance. Another resident, Daniel Tracy. gave an exhibition of tap dancing. assisted by Mrs. Lorne Cram, a very popular number being a combination waltz and tap dance. The orchestra led the party in a session of singing the old community songs. A unique feature of a Jean Brampton Institute programme dealt with the hobby of button col- lecting. Mrs, Earl Ellis contributed a talk and a display of buttons. some dating back to the seven- teenth century. In the collection there were but- tons from many countries. Mrs. William Stoakley showed a number of framed pictures made from buttons.
