At date of meeting six counties had requested Leadership Forums with tentative plans also from four others. Eight leaders were avail- able to send out. Rural Leadership Forums are being offered to officers and members of all farm organiâ€" zations in Ontario on a district or county basis. Any community may request a school if any two farm organizations apply. The program is designed to assist officers and members in performing duties of their organization and may include such things as Member Participation, Parliamentary Pro- cedure, Program Planning, Discussion Tech- niques, Effective Speaking, Conduct of Meetings, Recreation, Newspaper Reporting, Publicity, Duties of Officers and Uses of Re- sources. ‘ Sponsored by responsible farm organizations with well trained leaders provided, it should, with the co-operation of the rural people who value better education and knowledge, bring immeasurable results. Ontario Federation of Agriculture Mrs. R. C. Paisley said that over one hun- dred women from all counties in Ontario attended the Ontario Federation of Agricul- ture Annual Meeting in Toronto. The reports of the Zone Chairwoman were most enlightenâ€" ing, containing an amazing amount of inforâ€" mation. At this meeting Mrs. McIntosh, Provincial Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Con- sumers, in an address said that the main ob- jective of the C.A.C. is to strive for proper representation of products the consumer buys so that the buyer will get value for what he or she pays for. In his address Mr. J. Brown of Bruce County said there was a need for more educational work to be done to familiarâ€" ize rural and urban people with the impor- tance of the Federation of Agriculture. The need of a larger number of farm forums would make all of us aware of each other’s problems. A panel discussion on Clo-ordination was very good. The General Sessions featured a look at the past, a glimpse of the possible future and serious study of current problems. Provincial Tweedsmuir History Book Committee Mrs. R. C. Walker said the committee of F.W.I.O. wished to present to the Board of F.W.I.O. the following recommendation to be forwarded to the Board of F.W.I.C. for im- mediate action: “We recommend that a replica of the Tweedsmuir Cup be presented at the expira- tion of the holder’s time to replace the true cup.†An Institute is not likely to win this hnnour more than once and a replica to keep would be very much prized by the Branch.
