Her daughter was so anxious to continue in club work and get at least her county honour pin, that she told her mother, if she would “stand back of her" she would take over the leadership of the club and do her own project at the same time. Hassock, Presi- dent oi Oxford County Women's Instilule Conlerence. Alice is a member of the Burgessville 4-H Homemaking Club and is now working On her twelfth proiecf. She has also ruled as assistant leader. She is laking cam- merciul work at high school and when she graduoles she hopes lo lake on office pasilicn and continue her education in night classes. SUMMER 1955 tasted and the club work continued The mother said “Lucille plans. if she graduates from high school this year, to try to find a po~ sition where she can board at home or be at home for weekends so she can go on in club Work for provincial honours." Incidentally when this girl applied for work at a summer resort during the school vacation she “listed her home-making projects as well as her school standing." She was employed imme- diately and the proprietor of the resort asked if she could bring with her a friend who had had the same Club training. The girls were very satisfied with their summer's work At the end of the season they were given a subâ€" stantial bonus and the promise of "their jobs back" next year at double the wages.
