F .W.I.O. Board Annual Meeting; From a Report by Ina Hodgins Cial Board of the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario was held in Toronto in November, In her opening address the President, Mrs. R. G. Purcell, quoted from a recent magazine article to the effect that no modern nation is greater than its women, and that the qualities needed in leaders are “charm combined with tact, sincerity, enthus1» asm, selfleSsness, patience, intelligence, cour- age and humility," that sanity and common sense are essential to good human relations. that the basic fundamental in good leadership is the Golden Rule "to solve the problems that are bound to arise when human beings try to arrive at the same solution in different ways," and that charm, poise and a sense of humor help us to meet unusual situations as they develop.
