Among the items donated were: 52 teddy bears, 16 pneumonia vests, 52 bibs, 43 washcloths, 4 sweaters, 108 dresses and panties. Women’s Institutes across Canada have been invited to participate in this important project, and Big Lake WI plans to be actively involved again this year. One of the items for their next project will be shorts for little boys. The ladies were out in full force, baking an assortment of pies to sell along with cookies, squares, muffins, pickles, jams, pickled eggs, and jelly to benefit local organizations.
