Ethel Bott, Thelma Bosomworth, Ruth Grose and Enid Whale all received their Life Membership certificates and pins. New Life Members, Jean Hanna, Leone Hagerty and Joyce Wilson were unable to attend the Tea, but will be honoured at a later date. The Tea was held at the home of Marg Hall. Branch President, Helen Moffatt, presented the certificates and pins, while Pat Salter read a bio of each recipient, noting her achievements over the years. Many daughters were present to observe this historic event for their mothers. A lunch of cucumber sandwiches and scones and jam was served with a cup oftea. Much reminiscing took place about the interesting programs and activities over the Branch’s 39 years. Pictured above (LR) are Life Members, Enid Whale, Thelma Bosomworth, Ethel Bott andRuth Grose. Rockton WI Supports 4-H Rockton WI (Hamilton Area) is an avid supporter of its local 4â€"H clubs! The Branch assists with the costs of the club, and club members never fail to show their appreciation! The local 4â€"H club completed a scrapbooking course and brought their finished products to a Branch Meeting. The girls also shared their skills and assisted WI Members in making a bookmark and a notepad cover using scrapbooking techniques. They also gave an award of appreciation and ‘scrapbooked’ gift bags to Members of the Branch. To top it off, they even volunteered to clean up after the Branch’s annual Christmas dinner â€" now, â€" ' that’s payback! The 2011â€"2012 winner is Hannah McCutcheon - whom the Branch sponsored! Hannah is the granddaughter of longâ€"time Majestic WI Member, Marie McCutcheon.
