Prescott District Two Members in Prescott District (Eastern Area) took the lead to organize a ROSE Session on Climate Change at the District level and it turned out to be a great success! They enlisted the help of Branch Members to spread the word to neighbours, friends, church bulletins or anyone else they could think of. The Branches also supplied a light lunch before and after the seminar. The event was publicized in three local newspapers and was announced on the radio station. Invitations were sent to Municipal offices, Mayors, as well as other organizations in the area, such as The Nature Society, The Historical Society and Yoga and Fitness Classes. Posters were also hung in various locations. Over 70 people attended and they were a varied group with quite a few coming from out oftown. The speaker was informative, the slide show interesting and the Q&A section at the end allowed for good discussion. Southwestern Area The WI Members in Southwestern Ontario hosted a one day workshop entitled Buy Yourself into WI: Get Involved. Members from Lambton North & South and Kent Districts attended to share ideas and learn new ways to get excited about WI. Each person was encouraged to share "What’s Up with their Branch” and were able to bring great ideas back to their own Branch for moving forward.
